Sugar comes in different forms so it is necessary to know what the names of the different forms are. They can be listed as sugar, dextrin, dextrose, corn syrup, sweetner, dehydrated cane juice, glucose, fructose, lactose, sucrose and high fructose corn syrup. This is not a complete list as there are many more making it difficult to find how much sugar is in anything. The trick is to become conscious of how many different names there are and how tricky it is to really know how much sugar you are getting in different food and drinks.
